I live on Hadrian's Wall and travel half its length two or three times a week but I've never found any swords.
Some folk have all the luck.
Thanks Fernando.

Some (freelance) strategy is to keep updated with new archelogical sites and their perimeters and scan the ground close from their boundaries; before findings pop up in 'breaking news' and site perimeters are extended.

And now we have Matt Easton of Scholargladatoria weighing in with a very interesting analysis of why they are likely to be locally manufactured Jewish swords. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvYMCtp4G6g
