Wahhabit djambyia, called Sabiki, wearing by the Bedouins of the region of - Asir/Hijaz - KSA - Marib - Yemen .. normally, the blade should have a fine decor in place of "ricasso" as per the pic attached, or may be erased by an heavy cleaning of the blade production of 20th century, in any way, a very nice one, very well typed à + Dom |

Hi Joel,
Nice piece . As DOM says, called Sabiki and also DHARIA, from West KSA Asir/Hijaz area but also down as far as Yemen. The term "wahabite" is commonly used to describe these long bladed daggers/short swords. If you go back to the recent thread "Show us your Jambiya", you will see others of this type. Regards Stu |

Hi Joe,
Sorry for misspelling your name. Took Joe1 as Joel. Anyway I see you are a new Member so welcome to the Forum. It occurs that you may not yet be able to access prior threads so have attached here a pic of other so called "wahabite" daggers for your interest. Regards Stu |
