the bikaner armoury
hello,
some weeks ago i visited rajasthan. i would like see all these big castels, palaces and forts in these old country. my first stop was in bikaner and i went directly in the junagarh fort.... i would like see these famous indian armoury in the castel. in these moment i feel if i like a little child short before santa claus comming thrue the door.... it was an long planed journey and some time i thought that these dream never comes true...., in the next days i will share some ot these many pictures from the bikaner, the jodhpur und udaipur museums here i the forum. in the jaipur armoury it was not allowed to used my camera, but the most weapons you see in the latest book from robert elgood. now the firist rate from the display with old allsteel daggers from the bikaner amroury all the best stefan |

some more photos...,
it was very intersting for me to see such good early arms very close befor me. unfortunatly i could ntohing read about these arms in these armoury. for all visitors without knowledge is these museum only a big picturebook. i was also very sadly to see that many old, rare, beautifull wepons was displayed in very very dirty diplays. i will show you these cases in one of the next threads. to see this is terrible for every true collector. i could crying!! stefan |

yes these fort is brethtaking! some time i canīt believe it that many years ago these "little" indian peoples could build such castels , could make such pieces of art...., i spend a lot of time i these fort, than i couldnīt go away....,i must see these arms again and again and agein.....

Hello,
Thank you very much for presenting these beauties. I afraid the dirt is rust from the blades. How blind must one be, to ignore such a deterioration? Roland |

my favorite display in bikaner!!
here comes my absolutly favorite display in these museum..., my heart beat much faster by these view and my eyes was very very big in these moment
