yataghan translation n2
Hi this is the second one. There is again a simple type of inscription, but there is also a kind of red stone ( propably red glass) attached to the blade.

Hi Efhitis,
I need a clearer picture for the full translation, the last part is ineligible. But the first part of the inscription is: Alet-i harb ol bıçak miyanda mecali mi kalır düşman...... (this will be a terrible translation but It can be read as follows: If this knife is a weapon of war against your enemy, he will have no power .........). I can make a guess for the last part but I prefer to look at a clearer picture before doing so. |

Hi,
The new pictures are clearer but I am afraid the same is not true for my vision There is always possibility to come across another yatağan with similar inscription, until then the final part will stay inelligible for me. By the way I realized that I omitted a word in the turkish transliteration, the correct transliteration will be: Alet-i harb ol bıçak miyanda darbe mecali mi kalır düşman..... translation is still the same though. Best, |
