Hello,
Looks like a Madura keris with ivory ukiran. Dapur looks like brodjol, I can't tell what pamor it may be. Very nice, do you have a scabbard?

Thanks for the info, no scabbard. How old is it?

Brian,

It is very hard to tell how old a keris is. Sometimes it is possible according to dapur and other characteristics to make a guess from what period a blade is.
But i think this blade has some age.

To tell you what pamor type it is is very difficult. The pictures are not sharp enough to see the details on the lower part of the blade. And if I judge the condition of the blade, it looks rather rusty and because of that the pamor has disapeared for a large part. To get the pamor out again the blade should be washed with warangan, but that should be done by somebody who is really able to do that.

How long is the blade? If that is a measuringstaff in cm, it is a real smal blade. Looks like you have a pat rem, a woman's keris.

Brian,

The Dapur looks like Tilam Upih to me, with a tikel alis (eyelash) above the gandik area.

The mendak (hilt ring) looks like a simplified meniran form.
The hilt is a Maduran Donoriko form, probably made of ivory in this case.

As for age, it's hard to tell but I reckon this piece have some age to it.
The blade surface have rust to it. Perhaps with proper cleaning, more detail could be given.

If you don't mind, could you post more all-round pictures of the hilt.
More details could be told of this beautiful hilt.
