Default Ottoman Pistol

Hello everyone, I would like to share a selection of items I traded for over that week. First up is an Ottoman? flintlock pistol. It appears to me that its a European barrel mated to a trade lock. There is some writing next to the trigger guard and what appers to be a stamp. The touch hole barely mates up to the powder pan so I assume it's more a tourist/decorative pistol. I welcome any thoughts on the age and what the writing may say.

Regards,

Greg

I would venture a guess that this pistol was made in Algeria, based on the extensive red coral decoration.
