Another Hijaz type. This style also is found in the Aden and Hadhramaut region of southern Yemen. I think that Rick is suggesting that the handle of yours could be Rhino. Stu |

Yep, it looks like rhino. And the presence of insect damage appears to confirm it.

The hair ends in the hilt also scream rhino horn to me.
Also that silver filigree collar is unusual and looks thick. |

A nice, simple kanjar; I like the heavy crude silver work.
Maybe a bit of pure lanolin to make the horn less dried out looking. |
