Hello Trenchwarfare, and here you go. By the way I have to add that even though I have no information to add this a very nice looking revolver. Is that a folding trigger by chance and what caliber is it? I'm not sure if this should stay here or be transfered to the European Armoury section of the forum.

Best,
Robert

Thanks for posting the pics. Although I can not throw any definate light on the script, it is quite possible that it was part of a "contract" lot supplied to one of the then Italian "colonies/conquests" situated in the middle east.
Some details of the Bodeo Service Revolver....
Cal .41 (10.4mm) 4 Groove right hand rifling
The model you show is the Service Revolver of 1889 which remained in service for about 50 years, as the standard Italian service revolver.
These were also made with a round barrel and a non folding trigger and trigger guard. Made in several Italian factories and during WW1 were also made in Spain.
As an example of this sort of marking, the Remington Rolling block rifle was supplied in numbers to Egypt, and marked with arabic script.
