Yatagan inscription help. Thanks!
Hello, friends. Someone asked me to ID a yatagan. The only thing I can make out is a date which looks like 1121, which translates to approx.1709 AD.
I really don't think the blade is that old. By the looks of it, I would say mid to late 1800s... Could our resident Arabic or Turkish speakers shed some light on this? Thanks! |

nice nice...that blade,m especially that spot looks to be wootz... but maybe Im just hopeful, but I think its worth checking out, wootz yataghan blades are very high prized.
