I wish there was somebody who would do the same amount of work on topics such as crossbows, early firearms and accouterments!!!

I will photoshop the material, try to identify the pieces and post the whole stuff here by and by, so hang on and do check back!

On the second item, A 479, a fine Landsknecht broadsword, the blade probably Italian, ca. 1500, the hilt South German, ca. 1525, please note the zoomorphic stylized animal's head of magic apotropaic function, punched and chiseled on the quillons (bottom image)!

First a composite sword in Italian style, comprising parts from one-and-a-half centuries.

Then a Dusägge, A 715, ca. 1580.
