Unique Madurese hilts
To follow-up with the thread initiated by Sajen about the unusual planar hilts, I propose to open a new thread showing unique/ rare Madurese hilts, I will start with these 3 jangellan style hilts, your comments will be welcome

Nice hilts Jean. I don't believe i would consider the first one a janggelan hilt however.

Yes, it's unusual alright. The horse and the crown or very typical Madura icons, but i can't really speak to the rest. I am sure i've seen those bundled arrows/spears at the back before, but cant place it. The main figure seems to be part horse, part bird.
I really like the one with the fighting monkeys and eagles. |

Jean, I personally don't like the hilt n° 1, but the other are beautiful. The last one has a fascinating patina.

Yeah, it seems to be a popular model, I also saw a similar one made from ivory in a top notch collection but with a lady's head
