Nordic knives collection
I've updated the pics of my Nordic knives collection. See them at:
http://home.earthlink.net/~rsblade/nordic.htm Warning- VERY image intensive: really need boardband unless you're in no hurry. Not sure this is a proper post for ethnographic weapons as most Nordic knives were used as tools although the Finnish troops certainly made good use of their puukko during the WW II period; Winter and Continuation wars. There are about a half dozen leuku mixed in there. Look for the ones with wide, broad sheaths. I mainly like puukko, but do have a few leuku, mostly older ones.
Edit note: Lou, you are partially correct. I looked and only three smaller leuku are pictured. My 4 large leuku aren't as they don't fit in any of my cases. Rich S Last edited by Rich; 11th January 2010 at 09:39 PM. |

Lou -
Just for you I again update and restructured my webpages on Nordic knives, just to include the leuku along with some other stuff. Rich S |
