Default RIFLES SWORD M1827.

Dear friends. I want to ask a question.
1. How to decipher letters C and P? (If it is possible on more detailed).
2. Somebody knows the manufacturer of this brand PROOF?
Respect, Alexander.

I believe the C----->P was meant to denote the best percussive portion of the blade. I read this in either Robson's or Bezdek's books concerning British swords.

Neil is correct, 'Centre of Percussion', I have the same marks on a Wilkinson P1821 Heavy Cavalry Officers Undress sword.

Norman.

The Star of David was the mark used by Wilkinson of London, but this one looks a bit "rough" to me.
