Default Kriegbuch usw.

A member of the document storage site "scribd" has posted 50 interesting artillery documents on the site. Some are modern so close your eyes and press "exit" immediately when you find one of those of course, but many are fine, obscure, ancient things such as Kriegbuch at this link. Sorry I know you despise links but this stuff is far too voluminous to copy here. Kregbuch has my hackbutt on pp. 50-51. I had not seen an Hackbutt projectile mould before but apparently there is one pictured on same page.

Now here's the link to his index of other items on Scribd, incl much on Mons Meg.

Hi John,

Thanks for linking us with that Kriegbuch of 1496, by Philip Mönch.

As this ends on fol 43r I am not sure what 'page 50' you are referring to. Could you please copy that page and also let us see photos of your hackbut?

More on 15th/16th c. bullet mould, including a huge mould for a hackbut, please see hee:

Best,
Michael

Hi Michael, the pagination of my reference is the electronic pagination at top of page in the small white box.

I am on the run today and hopefully will figure out how to post the page image later. Meanwhile, since I cannot link directly to that page you could simply replace whatever's in the small white block at top of page with "50" and browser will go to that page.
