Arrow

Looks like two different types of metal welded together .
More like a pamor ; but pamor does fit the incredibly broad term of "damascus" as perceived by the general public .

/could be resist etched though ..........

Smile Alan

Let's not be mysterious here ; any piece is always better judged in its complete context .

How about showing the whole piece ; both sides and hilt/tang ; whichever .
Share a little description such as dimensions origin , etc.

Right now I'm leaning toward resist etched from what I can see .

You're welcome .

Ok
I bought it recently on ebay auction. The seller claimed it was found at a farm sale in Pennsylvania. It is 11 inches total and the blade is 5 inches long and about 1inch wide at the widest point. It looks like it had a longer tang welded to the "damascus" looking part

Weld?

Thanks again for the help

Exclamation WoW !

Really long tang !
Perhaps what you have is a forged cable blade with a monosteel tang extension welded on .
The scabbard looks like it was an add on and not original to the blade .
looks like a fun project piece .
