The sheath in ladrang, not gayaman. Looks to be iras (all one piece).
(Edit) Actually on second glance i see you wrote "ganyaman". If that is not a typo (i.e. meant to read "gayaman") then i am not familar with the term and withdraw my comment. |

Lelang, more than half the words you have written here do not appear in the Indonesian dictionary. While i realize English is not your first language i am afraid i must insist that you post in that language just so we all understand each other.
I remain confused as to whether or not you intended to write "gayaman" when you wrote "ganyaman". Could you clarify please? |

Hi lelang69,
I do not know much about keris, but here goes... The sheath is a Surakarta styled Ladrang form. It's definitely not gayaman/ganyaman. The wrangka is gandar iras, as mentioned by David. (There seems to be a large split/crack/break along the vertical line of the wood grain, I guess). The oversheath (pendok) is pendok blewah. The hilt (ukiran/jejer), is in the Surakarta Yudowinatan form (as mentioned). The hilt ring (mendak), is a bit too small and not of known Solo/Surakarta form. The blade's luk form is fashioned in the style of luk Kemba (gentle waves). The blade tip (panetes), is nyujen (narrow tapered point). I hope it helps. The blade and pamor looks nice. I'll leave it to the more knowlegeable members to comment. The pictures are blur, dark and small. The angle of which it were taken doesn't help either.
