Someone knows what is it? the owner told me is a weapon , used by pirates in Asia, like a weapon used in boarding a ship , at the first of XX century, with 30.5 inch of total lenght, and made with iron.
Thanks in advance

That is a Chinese iron or steel mace type weapon.

Pretty sure its cast iron, you can see on the plan view on the dragon head. I have just noted the 30 inch length. Wave that around and people would get out of your way. It might be a parade thing? but looks solid enough to be a mace even if cast iron.

Could also be a walkingstick. But the kind which can also be used as a weapon. It's a bit short for me, but it's definitively oriental. People are smaller, so it would fit a Chinese gentleman.

I think it would be a formidable weapon in the hands of a skilled person.

I have a couple of walkingsticks in my collection which are made out of a solid iron rod. This rod is covered in hundreds of small leather rings. This gives a soft feel to the cane. But it's very flexible, like a whip. It would hurt if you get a blow to the head.

Pretty sure this is a weapon; I believe I've seen 'em on a Chinese scenic vase .
