Eastern knives for identification please.
I know that one of these is a Shona dagger and another is possibly a Chinese currency sword. I’m not sure what the others are. Moroccan? Jambiyas? Any information would be greatly apriciated.
Many thanks, Tom. |

Hi Tom,
From the top.... The scabbard and handle are from a Moroccan Koummyya dagger. Some sort of African knife. Moroccan Koummyya dagger. Algerian (so called) Wedding Nimcha. The whip is likely a Camel Whip.Could be North African or from anywhere where camels are used. Regards Stu |

They have camels in China...
But this has nothing to do with camels and whip... It's a Chinese sword made of coins... |

Shona Bakatwa
Hi All,
I believe the African knife is a bakatwa of the Shona people. See Spring's African Arms and Armor pg 134. Sincerely, RobT |
