Thumbs up New keris

Yesterday, I attended an auction and bought this keris. According to the auctioneer it comes from South-Sumatra. In my opinion it's a Bugis style keris.

It has a plain wooden sheath and a 7 luk blade showing pamor. Total length is 41 cm. The blade itself measures 26,2 cm.

What intrigues me with this piece is the hilt. It is beautifully carved and has a more slender shape then I'm used to see with Bugis kerises. Anyway, my other Bugis pieces have a more robust hilt.

Can anyone else enlighten me ? Dapur ? Pamor ? Origin of this keris ?

A very nice, imo, old bugis keris. But... please... move the beautiful hit for 180°.

Well Marco, we've had quite a bit of discussion on this point with Bugis style hilts so i just gotta ask. Freddy, is the hilt fixed in this position or can you easily move it?
Oh, and i concur. Nice keris! It certainly is a Bugis influenced blade. I also have not seen this style hilt in this form so perhaps it is South Sumatran, though i don't think Palembang.

I can get some movement in the hilt. But it sits comfortable in the hand in the way it is.

I believe it is fixed to the blade by using some kind of brown paste (?).

I don't know if you noticed, but it has a beautiful mendak (selut ?). Here's a pic :

A very beautifull hilt Freddy.

Nice buy. I thought you stopped collecting keris

Blade seems very obviously bugis to me.
It wurprises me that nobody stummbled in giving more details on the hilt, because very often they seem to have either malay or sumatra influences.
On which I have absolutely no knowledge by the way.
Just can see that his hilt is pleasing to the eye
