sorry i can't match this brand for a friend. do you have any idea.

It looks like a hawk or a dove, but to find out which maker this was, will be very difficult.

I agree Udo, I went through Kinman's excellent book, which is one of the most compehensive to date and found nothing notably like this. I was hoping you might find something as your background and resources are also pretty remarkable.
The five point crown separate and above the shield seems unusual, but the punzone style does seem Swiss or German.

It might help if we had images of the weapon, that would give us some context.

By who? We always ask for photos of entire weapon for inscriptions, marks etc. It makes a difference.
