Unknown knife-chinese? VC?
Hello, I am new to this forum and from what I've read in your postings it appears you may be the folks to help me out. Bought this one at a yard sale because it looked interesting. At first I thought African, but upon researhing further it seemed more chinese or vietnamese. Maybe I'm way off and it is just a tourist thing. Any ideas? thanks, Joe

I think your first inclination was right - African although I can't say
what part or tribe. Maybe Philippino or Indonesian. Rich Last edited by Rich; 18th October 2005 at 12:59 PM. |

thanks for the info
many thanks, any and all information is appreciated. Do you think it is old? Did it have a special purpose. Searched for information of tribe and several type of knives where mentioned. was this weapon used by head hunters or used for executions or just a utility bush knife? Is there a name for this type of knife? Does it have any value? thanks, Joe
