Hello Carlos,
what a beauty! Congrats to this very nice find. The stylized flower with the four leaves remember to a motif you can find on many items from the Moluccas. Look for example this shield from my collection. Regards, Detlef |

Congrats Carlos!
What a nice Kampilan. A real beauty with those carved decorations everywhere. This must be a very old one imo... Regards, Maurice |

Congratulations Carlos, What an absolutely superb piece!!! I've always wanted a Kampilan and now after looking at yours I REALLY want one. Could you please post the dimensions as they are always helpful for reference at later dates. Again my Congratulations on you scoring this great piece.

Ok thanks but that plaque must have hung somewhere, europe or USA? Spain? a specific house maybe ? For very scarce items like this it should be enourmous if there was more info... best regards, Arjan |

Lovely !
Certainly looks like a ceremonial piece that would be borne by a Datu's retainer .
This looks pretty old judging from the wormholes . |
