Default Long Philp. Blade

Picked this up on ebay:

I have never seen one this size. What do you all think?

It is enormous! I held this in hand before at Jimmy Manteris' table. A later piece, perhaps 1950s?

Like Jose, I also held this behemoth at the gun show and it is the longest sword of this handle type and period I have ever seen. Good solid heavy blade so I think the buyer should be pleased with it.

I do not know enough to date it so I will defer to Jose. I have several others of this blade, guard and handle style. They are similar to the point they could have been made by the same person. Like you all noticed the only difference is this one is HUGE. It is the length of a KP although much lighter and therefore faster. I saw it and had to get it just for the uniqueness of the size. It is very well made with a distal taper. The blade has a slight bend near the tip that can be easily straitened. All in all I was very pleased. Has anyone ever encounter this type at this length before?
