Danish M/1834 cannonball/grenade restored....
Recently I bought a couple of canonballs. They have been on display on a Danish military base, but there where no longer space for them. On display they where "glued" together in a pyramid, using iron sticks and concrete.
It took a couple of evenings, using concrete drills and an old screwdriver as a chisel, but finally I managed to remove all of the concrete. Afterwards 3 days of electrolycis. And finally some renwax. An old man down the road made the wooden "donut" for me. I think it looks great, what do you think ? Best HB By the way... the canonball is a 149mm |

Nice collection ! That's another way to keep them in order, looks fine. I saw some acrylic stands on a webside that looked nice too.... But i think they cost too much. |
