Default Knives: origin???

I got them in a moment of moral weakness....
They are just too pretty.

Now, the question: are they truly Tibetan or more Northern, such as Dzhungar, Buryat etc?

they are very attractive, it's true

I got them 15 years ago for 2 or 3 peanuts ... no more

Guys,
Sorry for bumping it up: bad manners
But I just cannot believe that nobody here knows more about these knives!
How about some effort to help an ignorant friend? ( I am being a bit manipulative, I know...)

Well Ariel, the pictures aren't all that good to go on....however, from what i can tell, and i know little on the subject, Tibet could well be the origin of these knives. Here's a link to a thread on a knife i own which i believe to be Tibetan. Note the similarities in the hilt construction.

South Ossetia?
I just saw the "pics" from e-bay... Indeed, horror....
But, still, I did not mean Dom's knives...
I'll have to make my own pics and post them. They look much older than Dalai Lama's silverware.
And, as the origin goes, I was thinking exactly along the lines of Ausjulius in the earlier thread.
