Default A Pira ended on Ebay

Didn't win this one. Didn't even get close. I've never seen a Pira in person, so I have no idea if this is good, bad, old, new. I'd love to learn more about them. What do you think?
Sold for $258

I would bet that quite a few members were probably watching this. I have always wanted one of these and I did manage to put in a bid but like Steve's it wasn't high enough.

Steve: All in all, for a real pira, I think the ending price was fairly reasonable,
considering how hard it is to find a good one. Somehow or other i completly
missed seeing this one........Dave.

Yah it is nice to see one on ebay...But I wouldn't say refreshing, considering it was not labeled properly and Im sure slipped under the radar of most collectors(myself included).

I MISSED IT TOO BUT SOMEONE WITH SOME KNOWLEGE SAW IT AS THE BID WAS REASONABLE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS MIS-LABELED.
IN THE OLD DAYS OF EBAY WHEN YOU BID AGAINST THE SAME PEOPLE AGAIN AND AGAIN SOME OF US WERE ABLE TO MAKE CONTACT BY SENDING AN EMAIL TO THE WINNER CONGRADULATING OR ASKING QUESTIONS. IT WAS A GOOD WAY TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE ITEM AND TO INVITE THE NEW OWNER TO POST ON THE FORUM. UNFORTUNATELY WITH EBAYS SECRET BIDDER POLICY NOW IT IS NO LONGER POSSIBLE TO MAKE CONTACT OR ASK QUESTIONS.
