Default South Indian? Coorg? Ceylonese? Scribe's Knife and Stylus Set

Recently I acquired a very neat and unusual...and the first I have seen...example of a scribe's knife with stylus and personal tools. I bought it as a Ceylonese/Sinhalese piece, but I see elements of Ceylon, the Coorg, and other Indian styles in the silver artwork.

Has anyone seen one of these before, and can they confirm its identity?

Thanks for any input.

Dimensions:
Overall length in sheath: 12in.
Knife length: 10in. Blade: 5.5in.
Stylus length: 10.5in.
