Hallo a friend of mine, who loves of antiques and edged weapons, has just arrived to Jordan, and he will stay for 2-3 more days. He asks me if anybody has any advise for him regarding where to find antiques or antique weapons.
Regards, Eftihis |

Hello Eftihis,
I do not think it's possible to find anything decent at Amman's markets nowadays. I'd take a bus trip to Damascus (only 3 hours) and see Remon there (I can send you his tel.numbers if you wish). |

to have visited Amman for several days, looking for antiquities, I was deeply disappointed .... dry market ![]() ![]() ![]() in Damascus, Remon is without argumentation "THE EXPERT" in that field ![]() also, many other antiques dealers, who have some pieces sometimes interesting, they are regrouped in the "Metha Pacha Street" named also "Straight Street" à + Dom |

Yes, you're right Dom - "Madhat Pasha" and "Bab Sharki" are the best places to visit in Damascus. Also, it's good to hear from you Dom.
