Just received. (Thanks Ron) 24" overall.
Curious about the markings on the blade. Any ideas? |

Beautiful sword!
It was made in Tjikeroeh, Java. The number on the blade is most likely a date of manufacture, meaning this sword was made in 1892. Some informations can be found here: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ight=Tjikeroeh http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ight=Tjikeroeh I think, Your sword was already discussed here, at least a twin of Yours: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ight=Tjikeroeh Greetings, Helge |

I also appreciate the other links. I had seen this style before but could not place it. Good to know it is from Tijeroeh. |

Hello all,
my one wasn't made at Tjikeroeh, but looks very similar to Yours. I can't read the third number of the blade. Might You help me? Paolo |

They all look very much alike the one in AvZ's book. Beautiful work!
