Hi All, I'm new to Moro stuff and I just got this little number for not too much. I hope. Handle is horn and the scabbard appears to be the one the knife was "born with".

Hi Matt,
I'm no expert on these, but I do have a few and really like them. While yours doesn't look very old, (maybe 1960s ?) it does seem to be of good quality. It has a nice diamond cross section, not the flat of the cheap tourist pieces. My first, btw, was of the cheap tourist variety. It got me hooked. ![]() Enjoy yours, it's a great start! Thanks for sharing the pics. Steve |

I agree with Steve that it looks like a quality piece, likely 60's or later. Might try etching it. Some quality, modern & expensive Moro pieces are sold in the high end gift/tourist shops in Makati/Manila, bet you would pay a lot more there.
