I’m trying to identify this lance. I was told it is Russian from Napoleonic Wars period. It has no reinforcing whiskers.
Thanks |

How long is the shaft and is it original to the lance head?

I only have these photos, but it looks the shaft is 205 cm and it is original to the lace. Lance was found in Poland in a theater where it has been for decades.

I was thinking possibly a boarding pike due to the lack of langets, colored haft and short body...but then I found this!
https://www.google.com/search?q=Poli...t=gws-wiz-serp This type was short, often lacked langets due to being for light cavalry... |

Boar hunting spear. Not all have a guard to stop the pig running up the spear. The guard can also just been a wooden toggle attached to the shaft.
