Balkan / Ottoman pieces for discussion
Turkish Shishane, this example, with a .54 caliber damascus barrel, is the only rifled gun in the bunch. Also, probably the plainest example I've ever seen.
Kariophili dated 1846 Albanian Rat tail pistol laying on a Silahlik (weapons belt) with original powder measure, priming flask, and 2 Palaska (cartridge boxes) Tanchica with 55 inch barrel Bulgarian Boyliya missing it's hammer/cock. |
