Default Sword handle

This sold on ebay uk the seller listed it as Native American gun stock club. To me this sword club is from a very different place. The handle reminds me of many swords shown here. My first thought are Africa but something makes me think it could be eastern? middle eastern? Arabic? 24 inches long.

This is no Native American gun stock club I've ever seen. No tribe I know uses a hook hilt like this.

A nice item. From West Africa somewhere (can't remember where exactly). I've seen similar in the past. That diamond shaped brass stud nailed to the wood can sometimes be found on dagger hilts from the area.
