Indian Dagger or Short Sword

Dear Friends,

I have a chance to buy this dagger or short sword. length 52 cm. Material seems to be brass, balde with engravings and inlays, showing 2 figures and ornaments. Sorry, have only this photo.

Any ideas about origin and age?

Modern, tourist version of a Burmese Dha. Nothing exciting, in my mind.

Not all of this form are modern tourist pieces. I have one from the early part of the 20th cent. It differs only in the shape of the pommel and the blade decoration. Tim
