My Apologies for eye straining photos so I'll use them sparingly to point out something interesting about this blades properties. It appears to have similar
attributes to an Indian " Kamara" blade in that looking from the hilt structure is courser and grainy. The left side displays a much finer grain. There are still lots of areas that have cross scratches from past sharpening ? The Kamara blades have a damascus side and opposing a wootz? side. I can't say this is wootz but, it is fine grained on the left side of the blade. These shots are after a light etch. Your thoughts or advice on this one glasses on order. Steve Does anyone have access to this photo I'd like to have a closer look at the blades pattern. http://www.antigaarabia.com/uploads/102-103.pdf Last edited by archer; 24th March 2012 at 04:47 PM.
