I've attached a few photos of one oriental pistol This pistol who have a smaller and similar lock than the Algerian moukalha.
I 'm wondering if is from Algeria. I already saw some Algerian pistols but never with the same Lock. Thanks in advance for any info! |

You are right in that Algerian pistols, and not long guns, with this lock, are not usual; still this may well be Algerian.
... and this time the lock seems to have both production date and makers name engraved. More knowledged members may correct me .. |

Hi Cerjak. What a great looking pistol!! It has the typical Algerian Toe-Lock, but in a smaller pistol size. This is the first Algerian pistol I've seen with this style of lock. Very nice. I am so jealous
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing. Rick.

There is something very similar to the inlay to this axe. Not just style but also metal and workmanship. Try to ignore the thuluth. I might suggest much further south than Algeria.
