A Pala for comment and translation
A good friend of mine has asked me to show this Pala on the Forum. Any comments and especially translation will be much appreciated.

Nice Ottoman Turkish pala. Can't contribute much except that I think I see at least a couple of bismallah (names of God) and maybe a Quranic verse or two on the blade. Great condition. I also see some evidence of wootz. A great piece.

Yes, it is a very nice sword and it seems to have a Wootz blade (from pictures at least, I haven't seen it in person...)
Dom: what will we (on the Forum) do without your Arabic translations? But let it be fun for you and not a stress |
