Default Is this a Dayak knife?

This is an unusual knife that I found with an antique dealer. It has no history, but it certainly looks interesting. Can you help me to identify this?

I don't think it's Dayak and I doubt it's Indonesian at all.

I added some better photos for us. The pommel is brass or copper, the blade is forged with a laminate edge, and it has a hardwood handle. Notice there are some stray markings and decorations that you can better see now. Whatever this is it is interesting.
