Garuda Sabre

Just acquired a western style sword with what appears to be a garuda pommel/grip. Couldn't find any info on the internet, but found this post by our member Kubur as a 'real sword' with no other details. Kubur is not PM-able.

Can anyone flesh out the details, age & where it's from?

Thanks for any info.

Ah, well. At least it doesn't seem to have the 'Shaver Cool' cartouche or VOC markings. My memory had faded on that old one & it didn't pop up on doing a search. Didn't think to use "VOC". It was cheap - Probably go on the oops pile. A reminder that "If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't". I had a few doubts, next time I'll listen to them. Meanwhile, I'll blame the Dog for not stopping me.
