			I picked this up last week seems like a 19th century Chinese shaving razor? Small 3 " blade nice patina.

			IT SEEMS LIKE I HAVE SEEN THESE USED TO SHAVE HEADS IN CHINA IT WAS MANDATORY TO SHAVE THE HEAD AND HAVE A QUE DURING THE RULE OF THE MANCHU AND PERHAPS IN VOUGE IN OTHER AREAS.    ORIENTALS DON'T HAVE AS MUCH OF A PROBLEM WITH BEARDS ALTHOUGH I AM SURE ONE OF THESE WOULD SERVE AS WELL FOR WHISKERS. |

			Hi, Interesting item, looks very much like the type of thing a local blacksmith may have made rather than a dedicated 'razor maker'. I think, for me, a beard would have been 'de rigeur' though! Regards, Norman. |
