Default Rajah of Singapore With His Keris in 1853

For collector of keris it can be fun to collect old prints or photo of men with keris. This print is from 1856 taken from the book

NARRATIVE OF THE EXPEDITION OF AN AMERICAN SQUADRON TO THE CHINA SEAS AND JAPAN, PERFORMED IN THE YEARS 1852, 1853, and 1854 UNDER THE COMMAND OF COMMODORE M. C. PERRY, UNITED STATES NAVY

A stop on this trip was in Singapore in 1853 when his photographer Eliphalet M. Brown Jr. took this photo and the print was done in 1856. Based on photo, this old print is accurate view of Malay keris from that time.
