Hi guys
I wanted to share these pics with you. Sometimes we say this dharia is from the 40ties or 50ties. But it's always good to have the date on it! - like this one from 1374/1954... Do you have pics of 19th c. dharia? Best, Kubur |

Hi Kubur,
Hmmmmm. Interesting. I could be way off here but I believe that yours is a Dharia with a different non original scabbard. The hilt style is called RASHAQ but normally has a brass and silver scabbard of a very different style, like that one shown here. This is a RASHAQ with the correct scabbard.... |

Here are pics of a couple of 19th (or very early 20th century) Dharias. The red leather on the scabbard of one of them has been replaced more recently. The rest is original. |
