Picked these up in a local junk shop, and would like some info as to origins and what they actually are.

The bamboo tube is obviously a quiver for blowdarts and the two darts inside have some sort of tapered fibre "packing" attached. The basket is NOT pacific island as it is made of rattan/bamboo rather that coconut fibre. The shoulder strap is beaten bark of some sort. I have no idea what the other bamboo tube with the notches is for, nor the spoon shaped piece of bamboo which was inside it. As they came together as one lot, I assume they all come from the same area. My guess is Borneo or that region?? Stu. |
