I have just found a very interesting thesis by Nickolas Dupras :
Armourers and their workshops : the tools and techniques of late medieval armour production He has had an article accepted by the journal Arms and Armour. This thesis is in 2 volumes ( 550 p) with profusion of pictures in vol 2. I would recommend this book to all armour collector! It could be downloaded from : http://etheses.whiterose.ac.uk/4376/...%20%26%202.pdf I wish for all the menbers a happy evening and midnight and also all the best for the next year! Cerjak |

As my first post here may I thank Cerjak for finding and passing on this thesis. It is a splendid piece on a little known aspect of mediaeval armour.
Confirms how right I was to join Vikingsword. Neil |
