Hello.
I would like to show you my bosnian knife. I have noticed older threads discussing items like this one. There were beautiful examples. I hope you will enjoy these pictures, too. |

Hi and welcome to the forums! Sweet knife you've got there, looks like a real fighter! Is this what is referred to as a bicaq? I really like the yataghan-style bone handle with the ears and the mosaic pins are neat too!
- Thanks for sharing and I hope you'll like it here! Cordially, - Thor |

Salut S.L. bine ai venit!
Late 19th-early-20th century from the looks of it. You might have already seen this thread on "Sarajevo" bicaqs with good information and examples of the type: http://vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=4817 Emanuel |

Salut și mulțumesc pentru răspuns.
Hello and thanks for the answer. Yes, I think the same about the age - question is, were they still making these knives like this, in Bosnia, after the first decade of the XXth Century? warm regards, S.L. |
