Good day to everybody.
I recently purchased this keris (I suppose Bugis, though hilt and scabbard are not original. Hereafter the story. Please apologize the bad pics: I'll never become a famous photographer, I'm afraid... |

Hey Gio, nice results. What did you use to stain? Can we see the sheath?
It looks like a nice little Bugis. The pendokok looks a bit too large. |

I agree - nice results on the blade. Where is the rest of the piece?

Many thanks for your compliments.
For etching I use warangan, but sometimes I find it difficult to achieve good results. As to the pendokok, it is true it seems too large, but this is because the peksi is too long for the hilt. I shall try to drill it a bit more. Shall post pics of the wrangka, which is not that of the blade (I had to adapt it for a better fit ). David, the keris is not so little, the wilah is 33,5 cm ( a bit more more than 13 inches). I think it is the medium size for a keris. |

Here are the pics of the sheath.
In fact the pedonkok is too large for the hilt. I have drilled a bit the hilt, but am afraid to go through. This notwithstanding I like this pendokok, it seems old. |
