3 BOWS help needed !
I have 3 wooden bows which I am unsure of the geographical origins of and hoped that some members may be able to help me with an opinion . The lengths are ( left to right in first pic ) 175 cm , 100 cm and 135 cm.

All look African to me, the larger one is maybe from Cameroon. See http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=16932

What makes it look Cameroon? A bow that I would have said is similar, from Tanzania: https://britishmuseum.org/research/c...81094&partId=1 (photo attached).
The metal wrapped tip on the short bow is surprising, but it's something I wouldn't expect from anywhere other than Africa. Looks very African (but it still surprises me). |
