Hand Forged Spear head

Hi gent,
Can you help me to identify this spear head? The length is 18". Is it African?

I'm surprised no one has responded, so I will give it a go.
To me, yes, this is an African spear. The socket and overall shape seem consistent with an East African origin (Sudanese??), but I yield to the more knowledgeable forumites.
