Hello,
I am wondering, does anyone here have an example of dharias and jambiyas with blades from Jawa (Java) ? |

Hey Stu,
Did try and know of existing Indonesian jambiyas. I am looking for Arab dressed, Java bladed jambiyas and dharias if they do exist or have any quality that sets them apart from other items. |

Hi Lofty,
I do not recall anything like this off hand but the reverse in Sumatra is known with khanjar blades and Sumatran hilts in both Jambia and keris form. With respects to Java specifically, perhaps gain Alan's attention to your post by PM. Gavin |

There is one khanjar in the Met museum collection that is supposedly from Borneo...who knows if that is accurate but at least it is not Middle Eastern.
