I don't think this is off topic, because the picture you posted is about the way to wear keris too. There are at least 4 to 5 ways to wear keris. And this is one of them, we in Jawa call this way as "anganggar" (wear keris as an 'anggar', or as a 'sabre' like you said...). The way soldiers or commander of soldiers used to wear their kerises in war time...

Who is he? I am sure, this is a very popular personality, and Indonesian painter -- once wellknown also in the Netherlands and also Germany in the end of 1800s. His name is RADEN SALEH SYARIF BUSTAMAN...
